6.18.24 First Full Cycle Off the Pill

My doctor did mention that my first cycle or two after surgery would be weird. I can't say for sure how weird since I haven't had a natural cycle since high school and don't really remember what it was like. I downloaded the Flo app just to gain some insight as to when I might expect my period to start each month. This first cycle lasted 37 days, with some breast tenderness 7-10 days before my period started. My energy levels did dip before and during my period. I'm interested to see if they rise again once it's finished. I plan to keep tracking and see if things change much once my body settles into the new order of things.

My scars are mostly closed now, just some dry patches that I assume are leftovers from the allergic reaction to scar gel. I probably should have gone to the doctor for it but I hate spending my time in waiting rooms. The one in my navel is invisible. Since the reaction, I've just been putting grape seed or rose hip oil on them with no issues. I'll need to update a picture soon.

Finally, I got my check back from the sugical center! It took about 6 weeks from the date of my surgery to get repaid, but it brings my total out of pocket costs to about $11 for bloodwork copays, plus whatever credit card interest I paid on the surgery bill if you want to get picky. If I could do it again, I would have asked for a payment plan for the bill and then held off on making a payment until insurance told them I didn't actually owe anything.
